The Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo (BAMZ) is Bermuda’s premier visitor attraction, dedicated to inspiring appreciation and care of island environments. Accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA), BAMZ has more than 300 birds, reptiles and mammals from oceanic islands on display, and is committed to education, conservation and research through its support charity, the Bermuda Zoological Society.
The Aquarium houses more than 200 species of fish, and features the award-winning North Rock Exhibit, a 140,000-gallon replica of a living coral reef off Bermuda’s North Shore. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about Bermuda’s unique geology in the interactive Natural History Museum, where the island’s birth as an underwater volcano comes alive through audio-video displays. Children and adults are always delighted with the Zoo, which includes birds and other animals that are part of the Species Survival Plan, an international breeding programme for endangered creatures. The site includes manicured gardens, child-friendly paths, spectacular views of Harrington Sound, and fun highlights like Discovery Cove and Local Tails, where kids can enjoy hands-on learning.

Discovery Cove
Discovery Cove is now open for any budding young pirates. Featuring a whole variety of exciting new activities for children including a wonderful shipwreck with a tunnel slide, a castle, an outdoor reef to explore, a stowaways hut, and the giant xylophone for young musicians, it is an ideal play area for children.
Open 9:00am - 4:00pm daily.

Keisha the Mermaid
BAMZ now has its very own Mermaid! Kiesha the Mermaid is the creation of Pastor Daron Lowe, a graphic designer by profession and the author of several children’s books. Kiesha is an island girl who enjoys swimming and appreciates Bermuda’s natural environment. She has no special powers but when she falls asleep she dreams of being a mermaid who has many adventures with her fellow sea creatures and begins to realize that people are not taking care of our beautiful waters which Kiesha calls her very own “underwater garden”. BAMZ gift shop is now selling her DVDs and colouring books and Kiesha (in costume) will be available to attend birthday parties and other special functions held here at BAMZ.

Special Friday Programmes
"Animal Storytelling" - ages 2-3 at 11:15am & ages 5-7 at 4:15 pm.

BAMZ Tours
Conducted by knowledgeable guides at 1:10pm daily, April to September (Saturdays and Sundays only from October to March). On the tour, you’ll interact with a diver in the North Rock Tank and learn about many of BAMZ’s Zoo animals.
